Pure Bliss

Le Sereno

Le Sereno, in St. Barths, redefines serenity, in the best way possible.

It would be hard to find a more apt name for a resort cradling the Grand Cul de Sac in St. Barths, a protected marine area, home to a colony of sea turtles. In fact, serene barely begins to describe the way you’ll feel during a stay at Le Sereno. Like much of the island, it was ravaged by Hurricane Irma, but instead of despairing, the owners—who also run Il Sereno on Lake Como—decided to rebuild and improve the intimate five-star resort, which belongs to Leading Hotels of the World.

Following a yearlong renovation, the property reopened last December. Renowned designer Christian Liaigre suffused the 36 rooms and suites with contemporary island style. Natural wood and stone lay the groundwork, while pops of color accentuate the island’s natural beauty. Guests can enjoy Aperol Spritzes and indulgent pasta at the Italian restaurant, float in the pool, snorkel and spot sea turtles from a glass-bottom kayak, but the spa treatments are what will transport you to a true state of bliss. There are three spa suites, but the one to request is the stand-alone spa cabin, which boasts fantastic views of the Caribbean. After an hour-long massage or facial, you’ll feel utterly, blissfully serene.  lesereno.com
