Fly the Fit Skies

by Jenna Mahoney

Mini massages may make dealing with the friendly skies a little more palatable, but getting your ohm on is proven to have more long-term effects (no problem dealing with turbulence, perhaps?). Here are our favorite airport Zen spots.

Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Yoga Studio

With views of anchor airline American’s tarmac, this studio is open 24/7. Free gear and instruction (on a video loop) guide practitioners through asanas. dfwairport.com

San Francisco Yoga Room

Perhaps the most famous thanks to social media, this soulful space for self-led sessions
is stocked with mats and props. flysfo.com

Chicago O’Hare Airport Yoga Room

Mats and instruction via a video monitor are available at this simple space with bamboo floor and plants. Bonus: There’s a spacious bathroom nearby for changing. flychicago.com

Denver Yoga on the Fly

The only pay-studio of the bunch, where instruction is carefully curated for meditation and asana practices for eight to 20 minutes. There are wireless headphones, mats and a beauty bar in the chainlet, which will be expanding to more domestic airports throughout the year. yogaonthefly.com

Hong Kong Airport Sanctuary

As if it wasn’t relaxing enough, The Pier, Cathay Pacific’s beautiful Business Lounge in Hong Kong, has just opened The Sanctuary, by Pure Yoga, a 700-square-foot yoga studio divided in two: The Body Sanctuary, for yoga and The Mind Sanctuary, dedicated to meditation.
