Aromatherapy Blends for Your Diffuser

by Organic Spa Magazine

Aromatherapy can help soothe—or energize--your mind and body. One way to reap more benefits is by mixing different essential oils to create your own blend, and diffusing them into a room with a diffuser. There are so many different blends to try. You can come up with your own or use the ones below as a guide!

Relaxation

If you feel stressed, mix equal drops of lavender and bergamot. Diffusing this blend will leave you feeling nice and relaxed!

Sleep

Is it difficult to fall asleep? Mix equal drops of lavender, sandalwood, and cedarwood. This combination will help you snooze.

Concentration

Do you have a big project or something coming up that requires a lot of your attention? A mix of equal parts of rosemary and peppermint will help you focus and allow you to concentrate.

Energy

If you are feeling tired and sluggish during the day, this blend can help! Mix equal drops of wild orange and peppermint to help you get past that 2 p.m. slump!

Headache relief

If you have a headache that is not going away, mix two drops peppermint, two drops lavender and one drop rosemary. This will help soothe your aching head so you can get back to your day.

Anxiety

If you are feeling anxious, this is a great blend to use. Mix one drop of bergamot, two drops of orange, and one drop of lavender. These oils combined will help calm you down.

Cold

Winter and flu season are almost over but germs are still everywhere! One blend that will help with a cold is a mixture of equal drops of lavender, eucalyptus, and lemongrass.

Happiness

If you are feeling blue, try this blend. Mix equal drops of ylang ylang, wild orange, and lavender. Diffusing this will help you perk up.
