DIY Beauty Recipe from Actress and Beauty Expert Shiva Rose
Sesame seeds are used often in Ayurvedic recipes for their high mineral content and conditioning aspects. Here, zinc-rich sesame oil is combined with brown rice to slough off dead skin cells; green tea provides a dose of anti-aging antioxidants. Use this scrub to remove the blockage of dull cells and reveal fresh new ones so that your skin casts a beautiful glow.
For normal to dry skin
Use once a month, or whenever you feel your skin needs exfoliation
2 tablespoons uncooked brown rice
Contents of 1 tea bag of green tea
1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
Grind the rice and tea to a fine powder in a coffee grinder and transfer to a bowl. Stir in the sesame oil. Wet your face and apply the scrub in a circular motion. Leave on for 20 minutes, then wash off with warm water.
