Martine Bury, Surface

A native New Yorker who has lived in Miami, Austin, and Los Angeles, Martine is a globally minded, digitally focused content specialist with more than two decades of experience as an editor, writer, and strategist in the luxury travel, design, and lifestyle spaces. Most recently, Martine helmed category-leading design magazine Surface as Editor in Chief, and oversaw content strategy for parent companies Surface Media and Future Media Group, Inc. (W, Surface, and Watch Journal) as the company's Vice President of Content. After graduating from Columbia University, she began her career at Travel+ Leisure. For various publications, she produced celebrity, lifestyle and interiors cover shoots and art world events. Martine pivoted to branded content development, which led her to create a custom publication, QUEST, for luxury travel outfitter Ker & Downey, create a daily travel blog and quarterly magazine for AAA, produce visitors guides and devise digital strategy for visitors bureaus, creative direct short film content for design brand Bespoke Global, and consult for PACE Communications on prestige accounts such as Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons. Her written work has appeared in Robb Report, C California Magazine, LALA, Sunset, Forbes, Vogue, and New York.
