Heather Greenwood Davis, National Geographic

Heather Greenwood Davis is a Contributing Writer and on-air storyteller for National Geographic and a freelance feature Writer with The Globe and Mail. She has been reporting and writing stories professionally for more than 20 years. A recognized expert in the industry, her work appears in popular print and digital publications and she is a trusted expert on television and radio. Heather has shared insights from the stages of conferences and trade gatherings hosted by TravMedia, US Travel Association, Destination Canada, SATW and others. Her travels and experiences have also been featured in Travel and Leisure, O Magazine and on NPR. Heather was named a National Geographic Traveler of the Year in 2012 after her family of four spent a year travelling around the world, choosing happiness over monotony. Though her work encompasses far more than traditional family travel stories, she is also the voice behind GlobetrottingMama.com – an international travel, family focused blog that features the adventures she takes with (and without) her husband Ish and their two sons, Ethan and Cameron.
