August Beauty News

by Organic Spa Magazine

What's new this month?

Aloha, Beauty!

Beauty influences and ingredients from around the world are the gift that just keeps giving. (Hello Korean BB creams and sheet masks! Welcome Egyptian Black Seed Oil - try SHEA Terra Organics!)

We've got our eye on the next hot crop of luscious botanicals from Hawaii like noni, kukui, hibiscus, tamanu and kava, for their antioxidant, anti-aging, skin-smoothing, wrinkle-busting, radiance-inducing properties.
TRY: Honua Hawaiian Skincare Olena Oil and Aloha Youth Serum.

Cool Tool

Cosmetic sponges have been popular makeup blending tools for decades, and we've brought you news, recently about exfoliating sponges, like One Love Organics, which we love. But the sponge - in clever new versions - just keeps coming.

Some of our new favorites: Earth Therapeutics Charcoal Blending Wedges and Sponge (earththeraputics.com), not only great for blending makeup, but these are infused with bamboo charcoal to keep them free of impurities and ready for multiple reuses. The Pura Naturals Activated Charcoal - and Tea Tree Oil - infused Purifying Sponges (puranaturalsusa.com) exfoliate and cleanse oily, combination and blemish prone skin, attract oil away from the skin and inhibit bacterial growth on the sponge.

A Gorgeous Smile

Count on Dr. Bronner's to get it right! Their All-One Toothpaste is made with 70 percent organic ingredients, and it's vegan, fluoride-free, non-GMO certified, NSF certified and packaged in recyclable boxes and tubes. I am hooked on Cinnamon, but Peppermint and Anise are pretty great, too!

The Essential Essences

One of these lovely-based serums - Decleor Aromessence Iris and Aromessence Rose D'Orient (for sensitive skin) - need to be part of your daily beauty ritual. Not only are they crafted with beautiful, skin-nourishing essential oils and botanical extracts, they are an absolute pleasure to smell and touch and they melt into the skin, right before they plump, firm and smooth lines and wrinkles.

Warm two drops in your palm, massage lightly into clean face and neck, and apply gentle pressure to energy points on the face (instructions come with the oils) for a truly radiant glow.
