Springtime represents wood energy, the color green, and is about vibrant energy, it’s also time for an at home facial. Essential oils for springtime help us to be creative with our ideas and to complete what we start. In the spring, energy is flowing through the liver and the gallbladder, and these channels represent life force, cleansing, and emotional flow. Liver also regulates hormones that can, in turn, affect the skin. Essential oils for the skin and the liver in springtime include basil, bergamot, carrot, chamomile roman, geranium, grapefruit, ginger, lime, lemon, orange, peppermint, rosemary, and rosewood.
To improve the overall health of the skin, add essential oils to a body brush or mitt and brush the entire body upward, towards the heart.
