Cuddle Up
I discovered this Cuddle Bench at Planet Green, an eco home décor store in Rocky River, Ohio, run by our very own Rebecca Reynolds, otherwise known as Ms. Green Clean. The subtle curves and practical size are what first drew me to it, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was constructed from a used wine barrel. “The name ‘Cuddle Bench’ was my father’s idea,” explains its designer, Christopher Deffenbaugh. “The natural curve of the barrel cuddles you, if there’s two.” To create the bench, a used wine barrel was disassembled and one-inch thick white oak staves were used, making it 100 percent recycled.
