Winter Moisturizing Tips

For maximum body oil benefits, follow these expert tips.

1.  Choosing oils that are rich in amino and fatty acids (i.e., coconut and avocado oils), and are scented with natural essential oils—key for something that will penetrate so deeply into the skin.

2.  Applying oil on damp skin, after a bath or shower. It seals in the moisture and humidity, and gives you an added boost of nourishment.

3.  Exfoliating in the shower before you apply an oil, for optimal absorption.

4.  Using therapeutic application and massage techniques: start with small circlar motions, and start from the feet, working your way towards your heart. Don’t forget to apply to your neck, hands and feet, which need extra hydration!

5.  Heating it up: warm a small amount of oil in a double boiler before you apply to further help
stimulate circulation.
