9. Chic and Protected
Introducing Brelli, the greenest way to fight the elements. Brelli developed a unique, patented, biodegradable PVC canopy, which comes in clear to protect you from rain, and in a smoky tint, which is infused with UVA and UVB sun block. It may look light and pretty, but it is built to withstand heavy downpours and high winds with its sturdy bamboo construction. If one were ever to make its way to a landfill, it would completely biodegrade in less than five years, during which time it would release only harmless gases. See the website for the entire line which includes beach and backyard models. $36 for briefBRELLI (tote size), www.thebrelli.com

10. One-of-A-Kind Necklaces
Stylish reuse is always in fashion, and Don Carney and John Ross of Patch have mastered the art of sourcing old charms and doll-house-sized objects and repurposed sterling silver, brass, or copper chains that find new life in their hands. Each necklace is unique and made by hand in their Boston studio. “When we are working on the one-offs we like to imagine different personalities wearing them,” explained Carney. “The best part is that all of the vintage elements have such a history, so it’s like each finished necklace has its own story to tell.” www.patchnyc.com

11. Cute Charms
Dogeared has added new charms to their Earth Friendly “Make a Wish” line, which we love for both its cute design and friendly price. All are made in Los Angeles from recycled sterling silver and strung on hemp. $26, www.dogeared.com
