Mandarin Oriental, Florida

By Sandra Ramani / September 12, 2011

In honor of its 10th anniversary, this beloved Brickell Key hotel rolled out a host of renovations through 2010, including redesigned guestrooms and a vibrant new beach club. Just re-opened in November, The Spa at the Mandarin Oriental received the biggest overhaul, and now boasts 11 treatment rooms, six gorgeous VIP suites, and new “heat experience” facilities for both men and women. Natural elements abound, from the bamboo, rice paper, and organic linens in the décor to the mud, algae, spices, and oils used in the services. A true menu standout is the signature Kundalini Journey, a deeply relaxing two-hour experience featuring aroma, color, sound and gemstone therapy, plus therapeutic massage. At the end, clients receive a pendant of the gem used in their service—a pretty reminder of the treatment’s centering, nurturing effects.
