Longitude 131: Uluru Resort Ayers Rocks

by Organic Spa Magazine

Longitude 131 is a luxury desert basecamp located just outside of UluruKata Tjuta National Park. Guests can explore the protected and natural wilderness of the park and enjoy breathtaking views of one of the world’s largest monoliths, Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the sacred red domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) which stand nearby. The Uluru are thought to have started forming around 550 million years ago and is sacred to the region’s Indigenous Anangu people.
In 2017, it was announced climbing Uluru will be banned starting 2019 in an attempt to preserve this sacred site.
