Plant oils have become hugely popular in recent years, for the hair, body, and even the face. Not too long ago, many believed that using face oil would leave your skin feeling greasy, but that is not the case—as long as you stick to pure, natural, botanical oils! (Mineral or petroleum-based oils are an entirely different story!)
Face oils will leave the skin feeling soft and hydrated, along with other benefits, depending on which oil you use. Argan, rose hip, sweet almond, coconut, moringa and jojoba are some of the oils that have become popular, lately, but here are a batch of new and trending oils to try!
Plum Seed Oil
Plum seed oil, also known as plum kernel oil, is highly moisturizing without leaving behind a greasy residue. It is non-fragrant and, when mixed with coconut oil, can be an effective makeup remover that benefits your skin. It is rich in vitamin E, which is helpful for stressed and dry skin.
Chamomile Oil
Chamomile oil is anti-inflammatory and calming, which is why it is such a great option for sensitive skin. Apply to acne or eczema to help soothe irritation, and use on dry, flaky patches to nourish and hydrate skin that flares up with dermatitis or redness.
Hibiscus Oil
This oil is rich in antioxidants, especially vitamin C, which can help skin fight free radicals. Due to the gentle acids it contains, it also has a slight exfoliating effect on the skin, which is why it is recommended for normal skin, or skin that can get congested in the T-zone. It purifies the skin by increasing cell turnover and breaking down dead skin. Use hibiscus oil for a natural, youthful glow!
Pansy Oil
Pansy oil can be used as a natural astringent to help tighten the skin and minimize pores. This oil is best to help calm oily skin.
