The combination of superfoods in this delicious rendition of fall’s favorite hot beverage from Healthful Pursuit means it’s loaded with health and beauty benefits, too.HOT APPLE CIDER RECIPE Ingredients 4 cups freshly made apple juice (from the juice of four to six apples)5 whole cloves4 cinnamon sticks4 whole cardamom pods2 Chinese star anise1 inch piece of fresh ginger½ tsp fresh lemon zest½ orange thinly slices Preparation Juice apples and place completed juice in a medium-sized saucepanAdd cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, anise, ginger and lemon zestCover and heat on low-medium heat for 20 minutes.
