Sometimes more really is more. From a 35,000 square foot spa to seven gourmet restaurants (one even helmed by a two Michelin star chef) and

suites that feel palatial, abundance and luxury are the name of the game

 at this all-inclusive.

We get it. For many, the term “all-inclusive” often conjures up visions of tacky lobby decor, bland food and bottom-shelf booze. But the luxurious Grand Velas Los Cabos most certainly breaks every stereotype that all-inclusive resorts get saddled with.

Velas Resorts has seven properties located on some of the most popular beaches in Mexico, including in Playa Del Carmen, Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta. But the Grand Velas in Los Cabos is most certainly their crown jewel. Located thirty minutes from the Cabo San Lucas airport, the property is nestled on a beautiful stretch of beach and guests are welcomed with an air of extravagance from the start. During check-in, adults are served sparkling wine with a choice of different types of fruit caviar (the passion fruit is delicious).

Of course, the extravagance doesn’t end at check-in. The suites are all over 1,100 square feet, making them bigger than the apartments of most city-dwellers. For those traveling without children, the resort’s wellness suites may be particularly appealing. The adults-only suites are just under 2,000 square feet and are all about pampering the mind, body and spirit. The two-floor suites have a bedroom and spa-like bathroom on the first floor, along with a terrace with a plunge pool. The second floor, which Grand Velas calls the Wellness Deck, is home to an exercise bike, fitness equipment, healthy snacks and a massage table. Staying in the wellness suite scores you access to a variety of pampering perks—including a 50-minute massage per adult over the course of your stay, a daily 25-minute personal training session and unlimited access to the property’s sauna, steam room and pools at the spa.

Ah, the spa. Perhaps the most luxurious thing about Grand Velas Los Cabos is the SE Spa, a 35,000 square foot oasis for those seeking to relax, restore and replenish. Many of the various spa therapies offered (think massages and facials) incorporate Mexican healing essentials. The Tequila Massage is a prime example. The treatment includes deep kneading to get out kinks and knots and ends with tequila being applied to your body to further loosen and relax muscles.

When not taking advantage of the spa’s many offerings, the property has three pools to enjoy—two family pools and one that is for adults only—and seven restaurants. Cocina de Autor is arguably the fanciest, most delicious dining choice on property. For adults only, the 8 to 10 course tasting menu was crafted by two Michelen star chef Sidney Schutte of the Netherlands.

From the many gourmet restaurants, the serene and comprehensive spa or the palatial suites, Grand Velas Cabos offers abundance at every turn—making it impossible not to feel completely pampered during a stay there.
