Channing Tatum's Stamina Secret? Runa Natural Energy Drinks

by Organic Spa Magazine

The Hollywood Heartthrob Gives as Good as he Gets
At The Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA, the biggest natural and organic products trade show in the world, 71,000 attendees from 100 countries showed up this year.
This group can get pretty worked up about issues many of us care about: the Just Label It advocates for mandatory GMO labeling; B Corp on behalf of socially responsible business practices; The Organic Trade Association to promote organic trade and protect the environment.
But that was nothing compared to the mayhem at Booth 3005, when Channing Tatum, star of 21 Jump Street, Magic Mike and White House Down, showed up to promote RUNA Natural Energy Drinks, an organic tea made with Guayusa, a plant grown in the Ecuadorian rainforest and favored by the Kichwa and Sapara people who live there.
If you’ve ever wondered what gives Tatum his stamina, now you know. “RUNA is probably the healthiest part of my daily ritual,” Tatum told me. “I can’t drink coffee or energy drinks, and this keeps my engine going.”
Guayusa, the latest Amazonian superfood, has as much caffeine as a cup of coffee and double the polyphenols of green tea. But because it has no tannins, it has no bitter aftertaste. The company was founded by Brown University classmates Tyler Gage and Dan MacCombie, who Tatum befriended after he fell in love with RUNA. In fact, he was so smitten, he traveled to the Amazon with them, invested in the company and supports their mission-driven business model. RUNA helps to protect sustainable development, while improving the livelihood of 3,000 indigenous farming families.
What about bringing it all home? What is your secret to health and wellness? I asked him. “Listening to your body and giving it exactly what it tells you that you need,” says Tatum. In other words, RUNA. runa.org
