The Sustainable Cosmetics Summit, May 17-19th at the New York Barclay Hotel in New York City is organized by Organic Monitor and delved deep into the heart and soul of green beauty and personal care. For those who may not be familiar, the Summit is the Tedx of green beauty and personal care, and attendees listened as experts tackled thorny issues surrounding green formulation, sustainable packaging, green marketing, unusual reusable materials, eco-design, bio-plastics, regulation and certification, at a very high level.
CEOs of leading natural and organic personal care brands like Aubrey Organics, Dr. Hauschka, Weleda, JR Watkins, and more discussed and debated marketing and distribution challenges they face in the US market along with expanding markets in Asia and Brazil.
