  • Day 1 Cusco

    Day 1- Saturday, August 24:
    (Dinner included)

    Morning: Following your arrival in Lima, you will board your flight to Cusco.

    Afternoon: Upon landing in Cusco, you will be provided with private transportation to a charming 4-star boutique hotel where you will have time to relax and acclimate to the 11,000 foot altitude.

    6 p.m.: Meet with your tour leader and Organic Spa Magazine representative host in the hotel lobby for an orientation meeting

    6:30 p.m.: Welcome dinner

  • Day 2 - Cusco

    Sunday, August 25

    9 a.m.: Breakfast at hotel

    10 a.m.: Depart for your excursion to the Inkan ritual fountains at Tampumachay. Continue to the giant stones of Saksaywaman overlooking the city of Cusco.

    Cusco is the ancient capital and spiritual heart of the Inca Empire and a Colonial center. During the visit, you will discover marvelous Incan buildings as well as Andean Baroque structures from the Colonial Period among its unique cobblestone streets. Cusco is nowadays recognized for its extraordinary handicrafts and home to some of Peru’s most talented textile and ceramics’ artists, good restaurants and fun nightlife.

    Following a private tour, your guide will invite you to participate in a traditional coca-leaf ceremony and meditation to tap into the energies of Pachamama (Mother Earth).

    12 p.m.: Lunch on your own with a free afternoon to explore the quaint town of San Blas and its rustic cobblestone streets filled with art shops, lively restaurants and cafés.

    6 p.m.: Choose from either a traditional Andean buffet dinner with folkloric singers and dancers or dinner in one of the many recommended local restaurants.

  • Day 3 - Cusco to Sacred Valley

    Monday, August 26

    8 a.m.: Breakfast at boutique hotel

    9 a.m.: 1 hour transport through breathtaking Andean mountain scenery

    10 p.m.: Arrive at Willka T’ika Luxury Retreat Center, your base for the remainder of the week. Settle in to your charming earth-friendly room, furnished with a private bathroom.

    12 p.m.: Enjoy an orientation tour of the seven Chakra Gardens. Guests are encouraged to spend time in the energy of the Inkan healing plants, flowers and sacred Andean symbols that together enhance personal wellbeing.

    1 p.m.: Welcome lunch and introduction to the friendly Quechua staff. Schedule organic Andean spa treatments and participate in a rejuvenating all-level yoga class.

    6:30 p.m.: Organic vegetarian dinner

    7 p.m.: An authentic Quero pakko healer and ritual specialist will lead an Andean offering ceremony. Conducted for personal healing and the well-being of the group, this ceremony has been practiced by the Quechua since pre-Inkan times. It concludes with a transformative fire ceremony that carries the individual’s essence into the Andean spirit-filled world and serves as a preparation of mind, body and spirit for your weeklong journey.

  • Day 4 - Sacred Valley

    Tuesday, August 27
    (Breakfast and dinner included) (Optional yoga)

    6-7 a.m.: Early morning Andean Dew therapy

    7 a.m.: Optional yoga class

    8:30 a.m.: Buffet breakfast

    9 a.m.: Embark on daily excursion, a morning drive through the Sacred Valley to the spectacular ruins of P’isaq. The group is invited to hike to the Inkan Temple of the Sun, overlooking impressive Inkan terraces. Participate in brief meditation to tune into the energy of the mountains. Hike or bus to the colorful P’isaq market, with its treasure trove of woven goods, jewelry, wall hangings and hand-painted artisan beadwork.

    12 p.m.: Choose from many local lunch options in the market square.

    3:30 p.m.: Private transfer back to Willka T’ika

    Afternoon: Leisure time to explore Willka T’ika chakra gardens or relax

    6:30 p.m.: Enjoy a gourmet organic vegetarian dinner

  • Day 5 - Machu Picchu

    Wednesday, August 28
    (Breakfast and dinner included)

    7 a.m.: Early buffet breakfast,

    8:30 a.m.: Embark on a morning train ride to Aguas Calientes. From there, a panoramic bus ride will take you to the sunlit terraces of Machu Picchu.

    10:30 a.m.: Enjoy a private guided tour of the ancient “City of Light”, journeying through stone temples of political and spiritual power.

    Machu Picchu is one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Its amazing archaeological heritage proved that it was the favored country retreat for royal family and Inca Nobility. The surrounding mountains, the natural beauty of its cloud forest and its significant lower altitude than Cusco inspired the Incans to build Machu Picchu Citadel. Today, travelers enjoy the spirituality and mystery of the region through many activities offered in the park.

    12 p.m.: Lunch on own, choose from local restaurant options.

    Afternoon: Free time to hike up the mountains, relax and take in the beauty of the ruins, or return to the town below, Aguas Calientes, for market shopping.

    6:30 p.m.: An evening train will bring you back to Willka T’ika

    7:30 p.m.:  Organic vegetarian dinner upon arrival

  • Day 6 - Sacred Valley/Willka T’ika

    Thursday, August 29
    (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included) (Optional yoga)

    6 a.m.: Morning Andean spiral walk

    7 a.m.: Optional yoga session

    8:30 a.m.: Buffet breakfast.

    10 a.m.: Private tour of Ollantaytambo ruins. Built by Incan Emperor Pachacuti in the 15th century. The ruins are a ceremonial center and a military stronghold. The Temple Hill, terraces and Inkan storehouses provide a fascinating visit.

    12 p.m.: Lunch at Willka T’ika

    Afternoon: Today is dedicated to healing and rejuvenation. Enjoy optional Andean organic spa treatments, massage, crystal beds, solar baths and the healing properties of the seven Chakra gardens. This afternoon you will have the option to relax, hike or explore.

    4:00 p.m.: Organic vegetarian cooking class with Willka T’ika chefs

    6:30 p.m.: Organic Vegetarian Dinner

  • Day 7 - Sacred Valley/ Andean Mountain School

    Day 7- Friday, August 30
    (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included) (Optional yoga)

    8:30 a.m.: Buffet breakfast

    9:30 a.m.: Embark on a heartwarming visit to an Andean mountain school. For over twenty years, Willka T’ika has maintained a relationship with dedicated schoolteachers and traditionally dressed pupils in isolated high mountain communities where few tourists are privileged to visit. In a reciprocal exchange, the group offers an activity the children will enjoy. You will be invited into a local home to learn more about traditional mountain communities. It is a deeply moving and humbling experience.

    1 p.m.: After a picnic lunch overlooking the beautiful valley river the group will return to Willka T’ika.

    Afternoon: Time is allotted for meditation and relaxation. Maps will be provided for those interested in hiking the surrounding valleys.

    3 p.m.: Optional afternoon yoga session

    6:30 p.m.: A special dinner and farewell musical gathering will conclude your last night at Willka T’ika.

  • Day 8 - Depart Sacred Valley for Cusco

    8 a.m.: Farewell breakfast at Willka T’ika

    10 a.m.:  Group departure for Cusco airport to connect to Lima. Guests leaving earlier will need to arrange a special transfer.
