The Urban Oasis, which includes a 25-minute facial and a 25-minute massage, is a great lunchtime pick-me-up, and the R&R add-on allows 25 minutes of nap time followed by a wake-up ritual.

Located in downtown Seattle, in the progressive city’s first U.S. Green Building Council LEED-certified hotel, Elaia features signature Market Fresh treatments with ingredients sourced from the Pacific Northwest. Offering 30 treatments, from a 30-minute express facial to a 90-minute holistic massage, the spa also hosts a weekly happy hour and terrific monthly specials. Located in the penthouse level of the waterfront Hotel Vitale, this urban enclave includes three treatment rooms and deep outdoor soaking tubs with spectacular city and bay views. The spa offers a 10 percent discount on “weekday escape” treatments booked before 3 p.m. The 25-minute bathing ritual on the rooftop bamboo garden includes a tub infused with seasonal fresh ingredients and an herbal beverage.

Allyu Spa
Located just minutes from Chicago’s Gold Coast, Allyu (the Quechua word for “community”) is sustainably built using reclaimed barn wood, Wisconsin field stones and natural clay plaster. Offering everything from massage and chakra balancing to body treatments and sauna therapy, the spa hosts a free lunchtime meditation on the second Wednesday of every month.

Relieve stress with the Shirodhara add-on, which involves pouring warm oil over the forehead.
