On the southwest coast of Ireland, in a lovely spot in County Clare, sits a polished jewel of a property, with panoramic views of the Atlantic and the shores of Doughmore Bay.

Formerly known as The Lodge at Doonbeg, the only five-star resort on the County Clare coast has been renamed by its new owners, Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland, but it still retains the feeling of an Irish country manor house, with beamed ceilings, polished stone floors and antique fireplaces. The 185 suites and 17 cottages feature Irish linen, bespoke antique furnishings and reclaimed wood throughout, with a golf course that may be the only true links course in Ireland or Great Britain.

The lovely White Horses Spa on property, designed by Irish-born designer Clodagh, features natural elements like stone, wood and water, with steam, sauna, deep-soaking pools and therapeutic treatment offerings from Elemis and the organic Irish brand, Voya. The signature massage, called the Burren Wilderness Massage, is inspired by the unique Burren (“great rock”) of County Clare, a nearby karst landscape that measures around 250 square kilometers.

Don’t miss a visit to the nearby Burren Perfumery, where guests can create their own luxurious signature scents, with local botanicals, and more. trumphotelcollection.com/Ireland
