From cherry-hued lips to statement eyes, here are the new spring beauty trends that you will want to try

“Watching coverage of the New York, Paris and Milan fashion shows is fun and exciting, but let’s face it, many of the styles aren’t for everyone,” says Melissa Buckley, president and CEO of Honeybee Gardens.“

Maybe Gigi Hadid can get away with an extra-exaggerated turquoise cat-eye, but if I walk into my office with orange eyelids and slicked back glitter hair, my team would think I had finally lost it,” she continues. “So, we like to pick and choose the highlights that we think are practical for our customers.”

We went to the experts to find the spring beauty trends you can actually wear.

Cherry Bomb

“Cherry red lips are another spring look we love that is optimistic, sexy and confident,” Krysia Boinis, Vapour Organic Beauty cofounder and CEO, says. “Lips were seen in both high shine and demurely blotted versions. Get the look with Vapour Elixir Gloss in Flare or apply and blot Kjaer Weis Lipstick in KW Red.”

Feline Fun

“Creative cat eyes dominated the catwalk on both sides of the pond,” says Boinis, and the eyeliner trend really requires a liquid eyeliner, she continues. “If you’re in a flirty, playful mood, test drive this look with W3LL People’s Expressionist Liquid Eyeliner.” w3llpeople.com

Peachy Keen

“Warm, peachy shades mixed with soft bronzers and warm highlighters are popping up on runways,” says Sasha Plavsic, founder of ILIA. “Our multistick in I Put A Spell On You washes out to the perfect peachy hue on cheeks, and blends beautifully with our illuminator in Sway for a warm, beachy glow.” iliabeauty.com

Eye Bet

“Winged liner isn’t going away,” says Buckley. “Neither is the smoky eye or glitter everything. If you can’t pull off a double Amy Winehouse, you can still be on trend with the upside down liner. Pick a strong eyeliner color and sweep it under your lower lash line. Make sure the shade you choose is in harmony with the rest of your makeup, particularly blush and lip color. So if you go with our regal purple Passion Effortless EyeLiner, consider pairing it with Rendezvous Complexion Perfecting Blush, and Dream Truly Natural Lipstick for a balanced look.” honeybeegardens.com

Mermaid Tales

“Sea green and ocean blue were prevalent on the runways,” says Buckley. “Most designers used these single punches of eye color lash to brow, which was striking. But unless you’re 16, you probably can’t pull off this look. However, you can create your own siren song with well-placed pops of color. Opt for a beachy lid shade like Castaway or Celtic in our PowderColors line, and keep the rest of your look simple.” honeybeegardens.com

Think Pink

Kjaer Weis founder Kirsten Kjaer Weis spotted a touch of pink makeup all over the spring runways. “For adding a touch of pink to your look, you can use one of our most versatile pink products, Happy Cream Blush,” she says. “Apply the Cream Blush on the cheeks, lips and eyes for more of a fresh-faced look.” kjaerweis.com
