Still Celebrating Valentine’s Day on President’s Day 2013?

by Nicole Dorsey Straff

Good for you. I am headed to the Remède Spa at The St. Regis Aspen Resort in snowbound Colorado to celebrate a new partnership. No not mine, silly! Veuve Clicquot has begun offering champagne-based signature spa treatments, incorporating Aspen’s favorite bubbly beverage.

In partnership with Veuve Clicquot’s signature “Clicquot in the Snow” on Aspen Mountain, Moët Hennessy and Remède Spa collaborated on custom effervescent experiences through the end of March. A portion of the profits from each Veuve Clicquot enhanced treatment will be donated to Challenge Aspen, which provides recreational, educational and cultural experiences for people with disabilities.

For every  “Clicquot in the Snow” booked, Remède Spa will donate $25 to Challenge Aspen. The signature treatments are available at Remède Spa Friday, Saturdays and Sundays until March 24 and all guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of Veuve Clicquot with their treatment. “We are thrilled to partner with Veuve Clicquot on a one-of-a-kind spa experience, while also supporting the inspiring work of Challenge Aspen,” said Julie Oliff, Director of Spa.

Veuve Clicquot Spa Treatments Exclusive to the Remède Spa Aspen include:

  • Veuve Clicquot Misting Facial ($200) A cleansing, customized mask and moisturizing UV protection treatment along with two,Veuve Clicquot mistings. Treatment finishes with a warm paraffin foot wrap and décolleté, arm, foot and scalp massage.
  • The Head-to-Toe Veuve  Clicquot Treatment ($350) Aencompasses the Veuve Clicquot Misting Facial with the Chardonnay Brown Sugar Manicure and Spa Pedicure.
  • Rosé and Roses Couples Massage and Private Bath ($500 for two) offers 60-minute massages in a Remède’s couples’ suite paired with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé Brut to be enjoyed in a rose petal bath for two.

Did you do anything special for President's Day? I'd much rather have champagne on my body than in my mouth—it's hangover central for me. Do you drink the bubbly—or use it in your hair?!
