'Tis the season to commemorate Christmas lights, sleigh rides, and cheery festivities for the whole family. From unique private dining options and seasonal cocktails, to local ice skating and snowy hikes, this 90-year-old, pet-friendly hotel knows how to put on the Ritz. Just 90 minutes from the Denver Airport, the Broadmoor's season begins on Saturday, November 24th, when Santa and Mrs. Claus pay an early visit. As musicians and vocalists belt out carols by the lake, 250,000 strands of white lights are strung across the property. Other highlights include family bingo, craft hour, candy tasting, holiday matinees, the gingerbread village and homemade hot toddies and mulled apple cider. A special trip to the Spa features the Ice Cream Sundae Pedicure (65 minutes, $100) that comes with a complimentary milkshake. Then, it's your choice of a chocolate or vanilla foot soak with lotion accompanied by the strawberry sherbet exfoliant and marshmallow foot mask. Paraffin dip, lower leg massage and choice of polish are included in this decadent treat (available for kids, too).
