SIRENIAN BAY RESORT & VILLAS

BELIZE

From our well-appointed, yet comfortable accommodations to our beautiful beaches, Sirenian Bay was designed from the ground up with you in mind. Relax in one of our three luxury villas, or choose an all-inclusive bungalow.

A 12-acre resort off the coast of Belize, bordering Mexico and Guatemala.

Named after the massive, peaceful local manatees (often called “sirens of the sea”), this 12- acre boutique resort perches on the Placencia Peninsula off the coast of Belize, bordering Mexico and Guatemala. According to mythology, as fishermen viewed manatees from a great distance, they were lured to the shores thinking the gentle beasts were magical mermaids or “sirens.”

The charming resort has just four family villas and 12 beachfront bungalows, making it the ideal spot for a family reunion or a destination wedding where you can take over all accommodations. Geared toward the  family experience, dozens of child-friendly activities include movie night, tennis and yoga, snorkeling trips and, oh yes, all-inclusive butler service throughout your trip. (Just don’t get used to it!)

Carefully curated “experience packages” for your family might include morning paddle boarding, a tapas lunch served in the wine cellar and a visit to the world’s only jaguar preserve nearby. There are kids’ crafts, complimentary bikes and delish homemade Italian gelato produced from local sugar cane. More high-energy activities include 18 holes of mini golf, the howler Monkey River Tour or a visit to the pickleball court.

Belize is an ocean-lover’s paradise

The whole family unit can join guided kayak lagoon tours, island zip lines, or beginner scuba lessons in the resort’s diving pool. Steps away from the cerulean sea, local flora share center stage with those manatees, peaceful stingray and incredibly rich coral gardens.

Experienced divers typically head directly to the word-famous Great Blue Hole, a UNESCO heritage site, near the second longest barrier reef in the world. You’ll carefully bond with reef sharks, sponges and masses of tropical fish. High season in Belize is late November through April, so book your family reunion now. No holiday vacation is complete without a leisurely treatment (or two) at The Siren’s Spa.

Your visit to the Siren's Spa
Sure, there are traditional aromatherapy massages and hydrating scrubs and facials. But when you’re in Belize? It’s all about cacao, an unrefined precursor to chocolate. While you can’t eat it, an aromatic Revitalizing Spa Package ($210 for two hours) starts with locally made cacao exfoliator to eliminate impurities and remove dead skin cells.

After the cacao scrub, your therapist applies a thicker cacao body mask to kickstart circulation and detox impurities. Your therapist will wrap you in smooth banana leaves to steam, while you enjoy a toning cacao face mask. The last 30 minutes of a Siren’s Treatment consist of massaging back, neck and shoulders.
