We checked in with celebrity hair and makeup artist, Julia Papworth, to see how we can adapt some of our favorite red-carpet looks by swapping in great green products. Two of the most gorgeous styles were worn by Amy Adams and Olivia Wilde, whose updos, one neat and classic and one loose and low, reflected the mood of the moment and the personalities of the women who wore them.

Here’s how you can achieve those looks, thanks to JuliaPapworth.com:

Amy Adams

Adams rocked a structured classic updo, perhaps influenced by the inclement weather. To get this look, apply Green and Glam Styling Gel in damp hair to achieve light hold, comb through, and blow dry. Use a nickel-sized drop of Green and Glam Styling Hair Cream and create a deep side part. Using a brush, pull the hair back to the middle of the head and create a slicked back French twist. Secure with bobby pins and hair pins. Finish the style with Yarok Feed Your Hold Hair Spray, free of alcohol, parabens and sulfates.

Olivia Wilde

Wilde channeled the sexy sirens of the seventies with a loose, low updo. For this look start with John Masters Organics deep scalp follicle treatment and volumizer for thinning hair. Spray at the roots and blow dry with a round brush to build volume. Curl the entire head loosely with a one-inch iron to add texture and then run a drop of Green and Glam Replenishing Serum through the mid lengths and ends to add shine. Tease at the crown to add lift and gently pull back the hair into a loose bun. Secure with bobby pins and allow a few pieces of hair to fall down to add to the romantic feel.
