The quickest way to give a room a new look is to replace the rug— and why not make a bold statement? With designs borrowed from the natural environment, Aleure’s hand-knotted Tibetan rugs are made using locally sourced plants grown in Nepal’s Himalayan region and vegetable dyes. The Tibetan artisans use ancient weaving techniques to hand-finish rugs made from wool, banana silk, bamboo silk, nettle, cactus, hemp and linen. Shown here is “Firestorm.” aleure.com
