This week I have to share my excitement over a recently purchased dress form. This means the Eco creations are on their way. Vintage dress forms can especially make for an interesting accent in any room.

Among the things I splurge on is a great toothpaste. To keep things exciting; I like to have two or three different brands on my bathroom shelf. As you can tell I am picky (and probably a hoarder) when it comes to toothpaste, unfortunately trying to find a natural option can become difficult.
Luckily this past fashion week, while on my way to see the Imitation (of Christ) fashion show at Milk Studios, a table of organic goods displayed by Trent and Company had toothpaste. YES! I found it hard to pass up the call of natural oral care. Rachel from Trent & Co. was nice enough to introduce the Dentisse brand and there it went into my goody bag.
At first the beautiful blue packaging of Dentisse toothpaste looked suspicious but as soon as I started using it I loved its gentle yet polishing power. Dentisse lists all their ingredients in detail right on their website but you probably want to try it for yourself. All I know is all their research and the special formula seem to be working. It also happens to look great on my bathroom shelf.

Anyone who knows me can tell you I always keep a scarf on hand. Scarves are my all time favorite accessory. Even though I can completely fall in love with a brand new quality scarf; over the years some of the best scarves I have collected belonged to my grandmother. Tied in so many ways a scarf make a powerful accessory.
Currently I am coveting bright or colorful scarves with an interesting pattern. The task at hand? Finding a good quality scarf which is also Eco conscious. I have found just that in Nepali. Infuse Spring into your step with a bright scarf made from natural and high quality materials such as; bamboo and silk.
Nepali also supports and improves the lives on women in Nepal. To find out more about the story and mission to diminish poverty go to their website.

Being an individual who cares about the planet is as much about the nature and animals as people. This is why I chose to discuss wasted energy on negative individuals. You know the ones I am talking about; they are the people in your life who only take and give nothing in return. The people who only care about one cause; that cause is themselves. Whether it is your boss, your sibling, your parent, roommate or your friend that is driving you to run low on your positive energy just don’t let it happen.
Everyone out there is striving to live a green life, but green can also mean being a good person who gives kindness to others. . Energize someone close to you instead; inspire them to do good and the cycle will repeat itself. I should know; I combat a negative person once or twice a day and it is extremely easy to let them in and give in. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and support. Your life is yours and you can chose who you will share it with.
If you do good; good will happen to you.

When it comes to picking out formal gowns and fun attire us girls have an abundance of exciting choices provided to us by the good people of the fashion industry. I have recently had to pull clothing for an Eco photo shoot and needed something a bit more interesting than a pair of yoga pants. I always loved Dalia MacPhee’s philosophy on design and anyone who has laid eyes on one of her vegan gowns can attest to them being gorgeous. I was happy to get a couple of separates from Dalia MacPhee; just in time for my shoot. Since I know you are sitting on the edge of your seat to see the results; I promise to show off the images in the near future.
You might be looking for a dress or gown for that upcoming June wedding or simply want to look and feel great for a night out. Vegan creations from Dalia MacPhee is where you should look. There is no other way to describe Dania MacPhee’s designs other than stunning; the allure of their work has drawn in celebrities and Eco fashionistas alike. What’s more, this brand does not stop at vegan; they continuously contribute and donate to a charity Women for Women as well as honor your purchase by planting a tree in the Tahoe National Forest. That might be what makes Dalia MacPhee so intriguing and approachable. Besides, these gowns are one of a kind and spectacular. You might never have to suffer the embarrassing trauma of finding the same dress at a party again. It has happened to me.
The term “You are what you eat” most likely translates to the condition of your skin today. If you eat junk food you just can’t expect gorgeous results. What foods and skincare ingredients, some even found on the drugstore shelves, make your skin glow and you sparkle? My recent trip to a dermatologist made me realize some answers to my pressing beauty questions.
Try adding some of these to your skin’s diet and you too can see some clean results.
Vitamin A and C and E- Your mother might have nagged you to take your vitamins and I hope you listened. It is never too late; just look at the box or back of your beauty product and the ingredients might surprise you. These vitamins are used in all the best anti aging beauty mixtures from moisturizers to serums. The power of these vitamins lies in restoring and nourishing you, which scares off those unwanted early wrinkles.
Berries – Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries all contain antioxidants; not to mention natural sugars so you can satisfy your sweet tooth without sacrificing. Antioxidants help repair from damage and they are only a grocery shopping trip away from reviving your skin.
What do avocados, nuts and fish have in common? In the beauty world they are best known to moisturize your skin. Sometimes an excellent moisturizer won’t do. If you are plagued by dry skin chances these foods are lacking in your diet. They also have the power to help women ward off cancers and maintain a balanced weight.
Lemon could be lumped in with vitamin C, however it has many powers when used naturally. Use it by simply rubbing it on your skin or mixing in its juices with your favorite soap. It can make your blemishes go away and leave your skin looking brand new. Lemon does come with a WARNING. Before you go crazy with the lemon juice, remember it is high in acidity. Be careful and use it sparingly. Test it out on your hand or arm first before using it on your face.
Foods are here to nourish our entire body, both inside and out. When introducing any food or new ingredient on your skin make sure to always take caution. Your skin might be too sensitive or you could be allergic.
