Arthritis and Joint Support in Fashionable Leggings

dcae79db-f6b9-4cfd-a10b-cd2f9ddfc431_zpsb61b54b7-1Great for the office, yoga class or a night on the town, I tried these yoga-perfect leggings to feel more support under skirts, more like a pair of tights than leggings, but they totally do the job.

The best part about them (besides hiding any winter hibernation weight from skipping the gym last week) is they benefit me medically: A built-in support system works wonders for promoting blood circulation and relieving leg fatigue or swelling caused by prolonged sitting or standing. I felt like the trimming leggings work wonders for promoting circulation.

They feature a built-in rear panel for a “no-pull” fit through the crotch, a 4-inch wide tummy band that smoothes unwanted bulges and a footless design that makes it easy to go from yoga class to a last minute date without having to rush home to change. (Sleek under my new boots.)

For my airplane duds or even a pulled-together new Pilates ensemble, RejuvaHealth’s Slimming Support Compression Leggings might just be what the doctor ordered. For many years compression stockings were a term used to describe stodgy, bland tights prescribed by doctors, but thanks  to many patients suffering from the effects of veinous insufficiency as well as those with leg fatigue problems now have an attractive option that won’t break the bank.

RejuvaHealth works with the National Blood Clot Alliance to promote thrombosis and thromphilia awareness and raise funds that will go toward alerting the public and health care providers about this silent killer.

(And the tights  just freaking look good, okay?)

Other things we love this month

  • I’ve been drinking a mango or blueberry protein shake after my workouts most days of the week and I feel so much more nourished after my 60-minute cardio and strength sessions.

But it’s getting expensive to drink these suckers every day at $5 a pop. I also don’t want to imbibe any kind of protein powder with additives or fake flavors, and that’s hard to find in supplements these days. One powder I actually enjoy the taste of is protein from yellow peas, sprouted brown rice, chlorella – a unique algae protein – and black chia seeds, and is then combined with an enzyme blend to help ease digestion.

The CleanSeries represents a new standard in sports nutrition, helping us serve athletes in search of  vegetarian options.

  • Promotes muscle repair and recovery
  • Aids digestion with enzyme-assisted formulations  ]
  • Low glycemic index and totally humane and vegan
  • No lactose, wheat, dairy, fish or eggs
  • No yeast, starch or citrus ingredients

So, how do you get your lean proteins without eating animal products?
