Milner oversees 30 spa therapists plus salon providers, a large state-of-the-art fitness center, gym staff, and all fitness classes in an expansive 50,000-square-foot complex at the Spa at Terranea. It houses 24 luxury treatment rooms, separate indoor/outdoor lounge retreats for men and women, lush garden areas with fire pits, an oceanfront lap pool, a 5,000-square-foot fitness and wellness center, a full-service salon, and the spa café.

Heading up the stylish Spa at Terranea, a $500 million oceanfront development in Rancho Palos Verdes, spa director Milner has developed innovative treatments that mirror nature’s rhythms so that guests can re-awaken their own natural biorhythms. When the day is young and full of promise, treatments and activities correspond to the body’s “energetic nature,” she says. In the afternoon and evening, treatments and activities become more calming and contemplative.

When she’s not hiring staff and devising standout treatments with them, Milner is a devout animal lover and fosters unwanted dogs for adoption. “Just last weekend, I ran a 10-K race on Saturday before work and also ran a 5-kilometer race on Sunday to raise money for no-kill animal shelters across Los Angeles. “I want to give these animals a chance at a happy, loving home.”
