A Few of Our Favorite Things

By Mary Bemis
A Few of Our Favorite Things

Green Girl Eco-Totes

We found these organic cotton totes in a shop at the Four Seasons, Westlake Village and love the size (not too big, not too small) and assorted cheerful patterns. (Perfect for stashing in your suitcase for trips when you may need an extra bag.) Dolce Vita shown here, is a brand new and reversible print. $20 to $120, www.greengirlworld.com —Mary Bemis

Ormedic Balancing Soothing Gel Masque

Whether you have rosacea, acne, or simply irritated skin, this cooling mask, enriched with organic aloe vera and chamomile, makes short work out of them. Price upon request, www.imageskincare.com —Myron Mariano

The Jasmine Sandal

I’ve always been a fan of Oka B’s comfy and durable sandals, so I was especially pleased to find this new slide that comes in five flattering colors. As I have high arches and a hard time wearing flats of any kind, I appreciated the slight arch support, too. While the Jasmine was designed with spas and resorts in mind, I keep mine handy in my gym bag. They’re lightweight and antimicrobial—plus vegan and recylable. www.theshoesthatloveyou.com —Margaret Coventry

Baborganic

When this skin care line first crossed our beauty desk last year, we were psyched! Babor is a German company known for its superior formulations and multitude of product lines—the only thing missing was a dedicated organic line. Well, this fills the void, and then some. You’ll find products for both face and body here, and the prices won’t bankrupt you ($32 to $80). I’m a fan of the Crystal Face Scrub that uses sugar to exfoliate, meadowfoam seed oil to moisturize, and white lentil extract to revitalize. It’s just a nice, gentle scrub. www.baborganic.com —M.C.

Prana Spaceuticals’s AU 24K Gold

If the holidays have left you looking lackluster, this little product may be just for you. The antioxidant rich serum ($96) is formulated with active ingredients that include genuine gold, vitamin B12, marine collagen, and pycnogenol to help restore luster to your skin. You only need a tiny amount to feel your skin tighten (in a good way!). www.pranaspaceuticals.com —M.C.

The Starter Kit

As a long-time user of Jane Iredale’s pressed mineral powders—and an avid traveler with little packing space to spare—I was pleased to learn of this kit that’s launching this month. Everything you need makeup-wise is nicely packaged in a reusable kit that doubles as a jewel box. There’s even a small slide-out drawer on the bottom where three handy little brushes are stored. Comes in six different shades and contains two shades of pressed powder base, a lip plumper, blush, under-eye concealer, and oil-free tinted moisturizer. $79, www.janeiredaledirect.com —M.B.
